Hoops Guru JD Walsh to conduct Basketball Camp at Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence

The Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence jointly with JD Walsh, the renowned hoops guru from the JD Basketball School, New York would be conducting an 8 day coaching camp at the sprawling indoor complex “Sprintoor” of JASE from December 3 rd to December 8 th 2007 exclusively for the students of JASE & JIRS.

JD Walsh Basketball School (JDWBBS) is a global roving state of the art basketball training regimen that provides elite basketball skill coaching training globally. JDWBBS was founded in 1998 with the simple intent to teach local kids in the New York City metro area the fundamentals of the sport of basketball and the values that can be derived from involvement. In the past 8 years over 8,000 lives have been touched by the JDWBBS in USA, China and Israel. New sites are now being scouted out in the US, Western Europe, South America and Africa. Servicing a global community, every day, JDWBBS is reaching to make the world a better place through basketball.

The JD Walsh Basketball School & Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence plan to have a tie up with coaches from JD Basketball School involved in coaching the academy trainees. There would also be student exchange programs, short/long term clinics as part of the tie up. This joint venture would help in promoting basketball amongst the talented youngsters in the academy.

These would be part of the new initiatives from JASE where in coaches of International Repute would be invited at regular intervals throughout the year to coach the students of JASE in Cricket, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis etc…

The Basketball Federation of India & Karnataka Basketball Association have extended their full support for the success of the camp.
